A draft report on Ontario’s transporation needs calls for a regional bus service for the Northwest.
That’s something that pleases the muncipal group “Common Voice Northwest”.
Spokesperson Wendy Landry says it’s extremly hard to get to neighbouring communities if you don’t drive.
“These are people who are relying on the service to get to doctor appointments and it’s extremly difficult to get where you need to go.”
Landry is happy the report pinpoints a need for an increase in pick up and drop off times during the day.
Common Voice is going to be providing their comments to the Ministry of Transportation on the plan in the next month or so.
