The Canadian Coast Guard is overseeing a cleanup of a small oil spill at the Superior Elevator Terminals port.

On Sunday night, a bulk carrier, spilled an estimated 200 litres of oil during a transfer of oil between tanks aboard the ship.

The ship’s crew activated their spill response plan and took action to contain the spill.

The owners of the ship have contractors on site for the clean-up.
