A local food bank doesn't have enough cash on hand to offer their Christmas Hamper program for low income seniors and singles.
Regional Food Distribution Association Executive Director Volker Kromm says they'll have to offer it differently this year.
"Didn't have the up front cash to be able to say yes we can do this without going into serious debt. So we'll be trying to, as the donations come in, try and augment the hampers for those food banks that are putting together special Christmas hampers, that way we don't leave anyone out."
Kromm says for the hamper season they typically need between 20 and 40 thousand dollars. (File photo)
