Shelter House is getting some help from the Power Centre.

Spokesperson Michelle Jordan tells us that Samsung and the local business will be collecting gifts for the residents who use the charity's community kitchen.

"We just want to make sure everyone who comes through our doors at Christmas time has a gift to open, especially the children."

Jordan points out that items that make great gifts include the necessities, boardgames, toys, and warm mittens and hats.

Power Centre General Manager Dave Radford explains that they are more than happy to help out.

"Thunder bay is a very giving city, and I just love the way that people really love to give here, especially at Christmas time," Radford adds.

Those who donate a gift get entered into a draw to win a TV from the Power Centre. (Staff Photo/Video)
