A mishmash of audio video equipment has forced the City to improve the broadcast quality of weekly council meetings.
Clerk John Hannam says over the years they've added different devices to support both television broadcasts and webstreaming.
He notes they added equipment one piece at a time and that's caused problems.
"Doesn't always talk to one another so sometimes we have interrupted broadcast and the camera system, the cameras are about twenty years old and having ongoing maintenance issues. We're looking to come up with an integrated system and renew the equipment to provide us with a better signal."
The City hopes to have a new system installed over the Christmas break. Around $20,000 is budgeted for the replacement project. (File photo)
