Environment Canada says the nasty winter storm travelling through Thunder Bay this weekend has made its way to the northeast.
Meteorologist Robert Kuhn says, although temperatures have dropped drastically over night, slippery road conditions are not in the forecast.
"There's not much in the way, in terms of precipitation expected, over the next day and a half or so," he says, "it should be fairly quiet."
Kuhn adds road conditions become a cause for concern when the temperature drops, and rain or snow is expected.
A portion of Highway 17 from Terrace Bay to White River was closed for about 18 hours on Saturday and Sunday.
OPP say icy roads, especially hills, forced the closure of, again, Highway 17 between Terrace Bay and Marathon around 2:30 p.m., Sunday.
