It’s getting down to the wire for the City and the union representing over 600 of its workers.
The president of CUPE local 87 remains hopeful that the union won’t need to strike.
However, Karen Martin was hesitant to say what the union will do if talks go past the the November 1st deadline.
While not confirming any specific site for a strike, she says if talks turn sour there could be picketers nearly everywhere CUPE 87 members work.
