The provincial government and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union are at labour peace.
The two ratified a new three year collective agreement.
The agreement is net zero which means there is no increase in the budget, and that money was taken from elsewhere to increase salaries.
The outcome is there are no wage increases in 2015 and 2016.
In 2016 there will be a 1.4 per cent one-time lump sum payment that does not form part of employees’ base salaries, and in 2017 there is a 1.4 per cent pay increase.
