Repair work is getting underway immediately on a stretch of a new city trail around Boulevard Lake which was heavily damaged by the winter weather.
City official Kayla Dixon says the problem forced them to close the trail for over a month.
She notes that it's a unque problem to that section of trail and shouldn't affect other trails the city has laid down. Dixon says a retaining wall built along side the trail contributed to helping frost heaving.
She says it'll take about two weeks to complete the job.
