New Year Resolutions Tough To Maintain

New Year's resolutions are notoriously difficult to maintain.

Psychologist Dr. Michael Vallis says that's because the reasons why people choose a certain goal is setting them up for failure.

Vallis says the problem with that is once a person starts to make a little progress they start to feel better and the motivation goes away.

He says a better plan would be to take the month of January to reflect, then set smaller goals that can be met and re-adjusted throughout the year.
