A world record for Domtar and some of its tree planters working on the Wabigoon Forest near Dryden.
A team of 25 tree planters from Brinkman and Associates Reforestation will soon be in the Guinness Book of Records for safety planting over 10,000 trees in an hour.
Domtar Regional Spokesperson Bonny Skene says the effort helps both the forestry industry and the environment.
She says the future of our forests depends on the actions on these kind of initiatives to ensure our regional forests remain healthy and productive for generations to come.
The attempt involved teams from across North America and was held in multiple locations.
Guinness is expected to confirm the record next month.
