Leadership Thunder Bay is honouring one of their former students.
Local transgener educator Aiden Kivisto recently won their Acknowledging Community Engagement Award.
He explains it’s to recognize volunteer work he’s done, like speaking to local Gay Straight Alliances and helping run an educational program for transgender people at NorWest Community Health Centres.
The local activist adds his number one goal in life and in business is to help people, especially the trans community.
Kivisto notes it’s nice the volunteer work he has done is being acknowledged by the community.
“The year spent in the program was phenomenal,” Kivisto adds, noting his time in Leadership Thunder Bay also helped him create his new consulting business. (Photo Suppled: Aiden Kivisto)
