Thunder Bay’s Simon Hoad is getting props for his years as an anti-tobacco advocate.
Hoad is one of 10 such people the province is recognizing today for their work to make public spaces smoke free.
Hoad was co-chair of Tobacco-Free Thunder Bay, a coalition whose mission was to see the adoption of a smoke-free bylaw.
He’s being recognized for making Thunder Bay one of the early adopters of a more restrictive bylaw long before provincial legislation came out.
