Police Seize Cash & Drugs In Raid

Four people are charged following a police drug raid on the city's north side. 

Police tells us it happened last Thursday night at a residence on the 100 block of South Court Street.

They seized $57,000 in cash, cocaine and crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $15,000 along with Percocet's valued at $600.

A fake handgun was also confiscated.

Three of the people charged are from Thunder Bay, the other is from North York.

Search Warrant Results in Multiple Arrests and Seizure of Drugs and Cash

On November 30, 2017 at approximately 8:30 p.m., two CDSA search warrants were executed simultaneously on two apartments in a multi dwelling building on the 100 block of Court Street South by the TBPS Intelligence Unit and Emergency Task Unit.

As a result, four people have been charged with a variety of drug related offences as well as seizure of $57,000 in Canadian currency, cocaine and crack cocaine with a street value of approximately $15,000 along with Percocet's valued at $600. An imitation handgun was also located along with ammunition for a handgun were also located and seized.

The following people all appeared on court and were remanded into custody:

Abdul Wahab Sheikh, 21 years of Thunder Bay
· Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
· Possession of Firearm/Ammo contrary to Prohibition Order
· Breach of Probation

Bernard Owereko-Ampomah, 24 years of North York
· Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
· Breach of Recognizance

Jaymz Keir Hancock, 24 years of Thunder Bay
· Possession of a Controlled Substance 
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
· Breach of Recognizance

Christopher Manning, 35 years of Thunder Bay
· Possession of a Controlled Substance x 2
· Breach of Probation
