A group of Canadian women, mainly from Thunder Bay, are stuck in Bali after a volcanic eruption, and they don't know how long they'll be there.
Jolene Papich says it started on the 21st, and at this point there are no flights leaving the island, with phone calls limited and internet use limited.
She says from where they are on the island, they can't see the volcano, and wouldn't have been aware of it until they were notified in their hotel lobby.
She wants the Canadian government to designate a travel advisory to Bali, which would speed the process in returning them home.
Papich says they are ok, finances could get a little tight, although one woman has medication that could eventually run out.
They've had an option to take a ferry to the airport, but she says there's a rumour about the boat being loaded to over-capacity, and she's not risking that.
