Today Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the nomination of Sheilah Martin to the Supreme Court of Canada.
It’s the second nominee under the government’s new selection process.
First appointed as a judge in 2005, Justice Martin has served in Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
She has also served as a Deputy Judge for the Supreme Court of Yukon since 2009.
