Magnus Theatre is turning the spotlight on fetal alcohol syndrome.
The company’s latest production, Dreary and Izzy, is the story of two sisters – one of whom is affected by FAS – figuring out their new lives together after their parents die.
Spokesperson Justin Parcher says though the play is set in the ’70s, when FASD wasn’t well researched, it’s still an issue we deal with today.
He says the play’s themes and message are as important today as when FASD was first recognized.
The play runs until Feb. 6.
