The City may bid on hosting the 2020 Winter Special Olympics.
Councillor Andrew Foulds supports the idea and says they can afford to host the event at a cost of $300,000.
“We are planning ahead so if the bid does go forward we’ll be putting money away over the next couple of years. The good news is that our facilities appear in good shape and doesn’t look like will need to make huge capital investment in our facilities.”
The bid itself will cost almost $8,000.
