Ontario’s largest technical conference for First Nations is happening in Thunder Bay.
It wraps up Thursday at the Valhalla Inn and involves over 200 people from 134 First Nations.
Organizer Mathew Hoppe says they’re covering a lot of issues.
“Build infrastructure, build better housing, address issues of climate change, fuel related issues, environmental. Our job is to help First Nations build their capacity, their skills and help them better maintain their assets.”
Wednesday, the conference will include a trade show dealing with contractors, manufacturers and other companies hoping to work with the region’s First Nations.
