The District Heath Unit is putting down the hammer on a local restaurant.

It has closed Mr. Perogy in the Victoriaville Mall.  Spokesperson for the Health Unit Lee Sieswerda says the restaurant owner has been charged  with failing to maintain a proper temperature in the hot food that he serves.

He says the owner Nick Giannone has a long history and previous convictions under the same offence, so to protect the public they closed his establishment on October 21st. Attempts to reach Nick Giannone by our newsroom have been unsuccessful. (Photo: Sheri Leviski-Kotyk)
